I started this project with the thought "What If Hunt: Showdown was set in a fictional rural french town from around 1925?". This gave me the opportunity to dive into exploring the aesthetics of the buildings in that time and area, and see what was particular to them, as well as connect the gameplay and visuals from
Hunt: Showdown with a new environment
Key aspects for the buildings

- Double-roofs, with the bottom roof having a lower angle than the top roof
- Wall advertisements for local product and service
- inclusion of calm, shallow rivers into the layout and construction of the town and buildings. Buildings can stand in water and have a more water-safe lower part, or they can stand on heightened grounds
- Doors and windows don't have a uniform arrangement. Every building has their own inner layout and therefore their own outside appearance of where the windows and doors are

- Damage to the buildings that has been haphazardly covered
I wanted to show the calm, shallow waters running right beside the town buildings in an organic way, while having an impression of the town and its buildings and pathways in their damaged state.
Currently i am working on creating an in-depth, colored environment concept, based on the left bottom thumbnail.
